PLEASE NOTE: The time you are booking is for your hands-on skills training session. You must complete the American Heart Association HeartCode BLS online course BEFORE attending this in person session. Please allow yourself time to complete the online learning before your hands-on training. The online course is administered by AHA HeartCode Course is a SEPERATE purchase and can be accessed at https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-bls What's Included: • BLS Skills Check-off • BLS Provider eCard THIS IS A BLENDED LEARNING COURSE - You will complete an online learning session, then attend your scheduled hands-on skills training session. 1. Check your registration email to be sure you selected the correct time for your skills check-off with us. 2. Complete the online learning portion and receive your electronic completion confirmation. 3. Bring your printed confirmation to your skills check-off appointment time. You can also email it to us at info@pathwayshealthinstitute.com 4. Arrive at your scheduled time for your in-person hands-on skills training session. The American Heart Association’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. The BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. This course will teach: • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants • The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components • Important early use of an AED • Effective ventilations using a barrier device • Importance of teams in multiple rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multiple rescuer CPR • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants Upon completion of all course requirements, participants receive a BLS Provider Course Completion Card which is valid for two years.
