PLEASE NOTE: The time you are booking is for your hands-on skills training session. You must complete the online training BEFORE attending this in person session. Please allow yourself time to complete the online learning before your hands-on training. What's Included: • AHA Access Keys to complete BLS and First Aid online learning • BLS Provider eCard • Heartsaver® First Aid THIS IS A BLENDED LEARNING COURSE - You will complete an online learning session, then attend your scheduled hands-on skills training session. 1. Once booked, it may take up to 48 business hours to receive your AHA Access Keys and login instructions. 2. Complete the online learning portion and receive your electronic completion confirmation. 3. Bring your printed confirmation to your skills check-off appointment time. You can also email it to us at info@pathwayshealthinstitute.com 4. Arrive at your scheduled time for your in-person hands-on skills training session. The American Heart Association’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. The BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. This course will teach: • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants • The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components • Important early use of an AED • Effective ventilations using a barrier device • Importance of teams in multiple rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multiple rescuer CPR • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants Upon completion of all course requirements, participants receive a BLS Provider Course Completion Card which is valid for two years. This course also includes the AHA Heartsaver First Aid Course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.
